14 Mar Neuroplasticity and How You Feel Today
I have been studying and researching behavioral analysis in multiple ways since 1980. In my research, I have come to realize that 80% of how we feel is a result of what we have gone through in the last 3 days.
The proportionate effect is relevant to the following formula: 60% the past 24 hours, 5% 48 hours to 24 hours, and 15% 72 hours to 48 hours ago. The remaining 20% is affected by our genetics and our entire lives before 72 hours ago. The majority of that 20% is directly affected by the previous 60 to 90 day period.
This formula is based on observation, analysis of spiritual and religious rituals, lessons and principles of the science of Neuroplasticity, which I like to say is the new word for – adaptation. It has always been generally accepted that we are adaptive creatures. When science proved this fact, they called the science of adaptation – Neuroplasticity.

The Three Stages of Neuroplasticity
Neuroplasticity is a 3 to 6 stage process. This all depends on how in depth you want to go. For the purposes of this article, I will speak of the 3 stages:
- Neurogenesis: the growth and development of nervous tissue.
- Neuronal Migration: the method by which neurons travel from their origin or birthplace to their final position in the brain.
- Synaptic Life Cycle: junction between two nerve cells, consisting of a minute gap across which impulses pass by diffusion of a neurotransmitter.
Unfortunately, most research studies on Neuroplasticity are related to the biological processes. I am going to discuss the practical application of this science in our lives and daily functioning.
Basically, Neurogenesis relates to how the Neurons are created which then form the synapses or more simple stated the connections between neurons and other neurons and body parts. These connections are biochemical electrical actions. Life is carried on in these synaptic connections. What is very often not discussed in the research is what drives the Neuroplasticity; the particular specific varying synaptic connections. The “why” of it all.
How Our Genetics, Belief Systems, and Perceptions Affect Neurogenesis
Our genetics, perceptions, and belief systems are the reason behind the path that our Neurogenesis takes. Each sensory-motor neuron grouped is created to produce a specific and particular electrical pattern which dictates the use of the synapse in the rest of the stages of Neuroplasticity. This is of course, in a healthy brain. Accordingly, it is more important to understand the reasons why then the actual biological function of Neuroplasticity.
The primary formation and migration of the synaptic connections anchor into our lives on average in a 3 day period, speeds may vary. This is my theory and not a scientifically proven fact. This theory coincides with different religious doctrines, more specifically the teachings of my mentor. He teaches that life is a series of deaths and resurrections (over 3 day periods) similar to the 3 day death and resurrection of Christ in Christianity.
If you were to fully understand that how we feel today is primarily a result of the last three days, how would that affect how you treat yourself on a daily basis?
At Pathwaves, we teach people how to harness their Neuroplasticity and then program it to serve their desires instead of the process of Neuroplasticity being in charge.
